REGULATIONS OF THE 20. INTERNATIONAL BIENNALE OF THEATRE POSTER

Please read before entering the competition.


1. General Provisions
The aim of the 20th International Biennale of Theatre Poster  (hereinafter referred to as the “Biennale”) is to review poster art related to the promotion of theatre, opera, and theatre-related events created between 2024 and 2026. The Biennale constitutes an integral part of the 64th Rzeszów Theatre Meetings – the 05th Festival of Masterpieces. The organizer of the Biennale is the Wanda Siemaszkowa Theatre in Rzeszów.

2. Eligibility
The competition is open to professional artists, students and theatrs or other artistic institutions.
Participation in the Biennale is free of charge.
Each individual participant may submit a maximum of 5 posters. Theatres and other artistic institutions can submit a maximum of 10 posters. Submitted works must be original, must not infringe upon the rights of third parties, must not be generated or co-created using artificial intelligence (AI) tools.

3. Submission of Works
Works must be submitted electronically by September 8, 2026, via the submission form available at: https://forms.gle/RCpK7brmLf6kesGD8
Technical requirements: format: JPEG, resolution: 300 DPI, color mode: RGB, maximum file size: 2 MB. File naming convention: Surname_FirstName_Title
Submitting an entry constitutes acceptance of these regulations, confirmation of authorship of the submitted works, and consent for their use by the Organizer for promotional and publishing purposes related to the Biennale.

4. Preselection and Qualification
From all submitted works, the Jury will conduct a preselection and choose a maximum of 90 posters to be presented at the exhibition and published in the catalogue. The list of qualified works will be published by September 16, 2026, on the website: www.teatr-rzeszow.pl

5. Submission of Qualified Works
Authors of qualified works are required to send printed versions in B1 format by October 9, 2026, to the following address:

Shipping costs shall be covered by the participant.
Works must be carefully packaged. The Organizer is not responsible for any damage incurred during transport.
Packages should be marked: “NON COMMERCIAL VALUE”.

6. Jury and Awards
Awards will be granted by an international Jury appointed by the Organizer. The Jury will grant awards and distinctions.
The Jury’s decisions are final and not subject to appeal. Winners will be informed via email.

7. Exhibition and Catalogue
The exhibition opening and announcement of results will take place on October 16, 2026, as part of the inauguration of the 05th Festival of Masterpieces (64th Rzeszów Theatre Meetings).
Each author of a qualified work and all award winners will receive one complimentary copy of the catalogue.

8. Copyright
The author retains copyright to their works. The author grants the Organizer a free, non-exclusive license for:
– publication of the works in the catalogue,
– presentation at the exhibition,
– use in promotional materials (printed and digital),
– publication on social media and websites.
The license is granted without territorial or time limitations, exclusively for purposes related to the International Theatre Poster Biennale.

9. Personal Data
Participants’ personal data will be processed by the Organizer solely for the purpose of conducting the Biennale.
Participants have the right to: access their personal data, correct their personal data, request deletion of their personal data.

10. Final Provisions
The Organizer will not return submitted works. The Organizer reserves the right to amend these regulations and interpret their provisions. In matters not regulated herein, decisions shall be made by the Organizer.
